Does prejudice out-trump brain power? A new study at Yale suggests that bias on a subject (especially political) may influence one’s ability to think analytically. Dan M. Kahan looked at people analyzing¬† statistical problems based on political subjects and found that they were more likely to let their biases incorrectly interpret statistical data no matter if the person was liberal or conservative.
